Just published a new vid!

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been testing a completely different approach to shooting drone footage for real estate with the Antigravity A1.

One thing I’ve always been pretty open about is that I’m not the most technical drone pilot. For most real estate shoots, I tend to rely on relatively simple movements: push-ins, pans, orbits. because when you're flying a traditional drone, you're controlling the flight path and composing the final shot at the same time.

The Antigravity A1 flips that workflow around.

Because it captures everything around the drone in 360°, you can focus more on where you're flying and decide exactly where the “camera” is looking afterward.

Essentially: fly first, frame later.

And that opens up some pretty interesting possibilities for real estate.

One of my favorites is being able to take the same flight and create a traditional horizontal shot for a property video and a completely different vertical composition for a Reel. You're not simply cropping a horizontal video, you're reframing the original 360° capture specifically for each format.

You can also create camera movements and perspectives afterward that would be considerably harder to nail while flying a traditional drone.

That doesn't mean I think this replaces a traditional drone, though.

After using both, I still prefer a traditional drone when I need straightforward coverage, maximum image quality, and a fast workflow. If I know exactly what shot I want, sometimes it's easier to simply capture it correctly in-camera and move on.

The A1 becomes more interesting when I want creative flexibility, unusual perspectives, or multiple deliverables from the same flight.

That's really what I wanted this video to explore! Not, “is this new drone automatically better?”, but where does shooting in 360° actually make sense in a professional real estate workflow?

I walk through the flying experience, image quality, goggles, editing/reframing workflow, horizontal vs vertical output, the things I liked, and some of the limitations I ran into.

Just published a new vid! 

For this project, I challenged myself to film a real client shoot in Cozumel using my pro camera AND my iPhone 17 Pro. 

In the video I walk through the entire experience, from behind-the-scenes on location to the final deliverables, the workflow I used, where the iPhone genuinely impressed me, where it still has limitations, and whether I'd actually trust it for future client work.

This ended up being one of my favorite projects because it wasn't about specs, it was about putting the gear into a real-world production and seeing what happened.
